We're a private, independent company. bp holds a minority shareholding of just under 24% in Pure Planet. bp’s investment in Pure Planet is part of its Net Zero drive to support the low-carbon economy and renewables.
As one of the largest energy brokers in the world, bp buys all the renewable power and carbon offset gas on behalf of Pure Planet’s Members. Our trading agreement allows us to leverage bp's skill, expertise and its access to the entire wholesale renewable energy market ensuring your supply is competitively priced.
In May 2021 we announced a new technology partnership with bp to help us build new zero carbon digital services.

The renewable electricity we purchase on your behalf is taken from sun, wind and water. Last year (April 2019 — March 2020), our electricity mix was 89% wind and 11% sun.
All the electricity we buy is backed by Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGOs). Read more about REGOs here.

This is the quickest way to get in touch with us, and we respond within three working days. The team's around to help you Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.

If you lose your electricity supply, call 105 to get through to your local Distrubution Network Operator who can help you. For gas, call the gas emergency line immediately on 0800 111999. If you smell gas or suspect you have a leak, open doors and windows, do not smoke or use electrical items, and try and leave your property if possible.
To contact us, tap 'Emergency' in your account menu. We aim to respond to Emergencies within 10 minutes, 8am - 8pm Monday to Friday, and 9am - 5pm at the weekend or bank holidays.
